Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Telouet – Aït Ben Haddou – Boumalne Dades
Pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 8:30 a.m. and head south into the High Atlas Mountains. The journey climbs over Tizi n’Tichka, Morocco’s highest pass at 2,260 meters, where panoramic views of rugged peaks and Berber villages provide perfect photo opportunities. A stop at Telouet Kasbah introduces you to centuries of Moroccan history, as you explore the former residence of the local pashas. Continuing through the scenic Ounila Valley, dotted with clay villages, you will arrive at Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous film location. After visiting the kasbah, the drive continues to Boumalne Dades, where the evening is spent amid the dramatic Dades Valley landscapes, with dinner and overnight in the area.
Day 2: Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
