Tour Details
Day 1: Marrakech ➝ Ait Ben Haddou ➝ Dades Valley
Depart Marrakech and ascend the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. Make scenic stops in traditional Berber villages before reaching Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous fortified ksar, a timeless backdrop for legendary films and series.
Continue the journey through Ouarzazate and the oasis landscapes of Skoura before arriving in Dades Valley, where dramatic rock formations and stunning views mark your first night.
Day 2: Dades Valley ➝ Todra Gorges ➝ Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)
After breakfast, follow the scenic route of ancient Kasbahs and palm groves toward Tinghir. Wander through the impressive Todra Gorges, surrounded by steep canyon walls reaching toward the sky.
As the Sahara approaches, the dunes of Erg Chebbi rise in the distance. Meet your camel caravan and ride across the sands as the sun sets in spectacular colors. Overnight in a traditional desert camp under a breathtaking starry sky, complete with local music and desert ambiance.
Day 3: Merzouga ➝ Ziz Valley ➝ Midelt
Wake early to witness the beauty of a desert sunrise. After breakfast, return from the dunes to reconnect with the minibus. Your route continues north through the vast landscapes of the Ziz Valley, where endless palm groves and dramatic desert plateaus dominate the scenery.
Reach the tranquil town of Midelt, situated between the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the cooler climate.
Day 4: Midelt ➝ Azrou ➝ Ifrane ➝ Fes
Journey through the cedar forests near Azrou, home to friendly Barbary macaques who often greet visitors from the treetops. The road then leads through Ifrane, a charming mountain town known for its unique European-style architecture.
As the landscapes change into fertile plains, you’ll arrive in Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest and most fascinating imperial cities, marking the end of your desert expedition.
